Blog bonding

Hello ladies!!
I wanted to ask for YOUR help! I'm fairly new to blogging, but I know some of you just recently started. And for the first time someone "unfollowed me" I was SO upset, (can you even do that?) I dont know why it bothered me so much, but it kind of did. Later I got to thinking, who cares? I write this blog to express my feelings, and share my passion.
I cant make everyone be interested in what I write right? Yes, but its always good to know the Do's and Don'ts of blogging! So this is where I come to YOU. I want to dedicate a post to "Blogging Tips & Do's and Don't's"
I'm sure this will help many readers who are curious, and need some blogging tips like myself!

Do you have any blogging advice?
Whats your personal do's and don'ts in blogging?
What do you like to see when you go on a blog? or what do you NOT  like to see in a blog?
What always catches your attention in a blog?
Whats the first thing you look for in a blog?

Even if you dont have a blog, but love to read them. What do you like to see when you go on a blog?

Please if you ladies could email me your answers by Thursday night. I would LOVE to have this post up on Friday!! I cant wait to hear what you ladies have to say!! Thanks in advance!!!

Loving your accent

Hello Lovelies!! Today's post is all about ACCENT WALLS! I've been breaking my head open trying to think of what I'm going to do with the wall behind my couch. On Sunday, I remembered that one of my friends used to have a brick wall in her old apartment, it was GORGEOUS! so I asked her how she did it, and it was as simple as going to lowes and buying the wall panel! I'm so excited to get started on this project, I think its going to look great, and I cant wait to show you lovelies.

These are some other beautiful ideas for accent walls.

Stenciling accent walls!
When you are renting an apartment, you dont want to go through all the hassle of putting up wall paper. So instead, buy a pretty wall stencil and paint the pattern on!

I’ve been crushing on accent walls lately. Not just any accent wall though…barnwood accent walls...

Not a huge fan of accent walls, but this one is stunning!
I really like how subtle this is for the bedroom. The wall paint is a flat color, and the stencil paint is a shiny color.

I plan to have accent brick walls in my home, one day.
gorgeous! It has such a rustic feel to it.

An accent wall can be as simple as a dramatic wall color.

Dont be scared to use some patters or prints!

Would SO do an accent wall in this if our walls weren't textured.

Summer Palace Fret for the walls! Would make a great accent wall.

Our new wallpaper... this website is amazing for gorgeous wallpaper (awesome for accent walls)

I hope today's post has inspired you to be creative, grab some paint and go all out!
Happy Tuesday LOVELIES!

Weekend Round-Up

HEY, HEY, HEY!!!
It's Monday, and 1 day closer to my BIRTHDAY!! I'm turning 21 September 12. Honestly? I'm not very excited. We are on a budget, so no party {I'm a BIG party planner} and my family isnt here. No mommy, daddy or sisters :( But I know I cant just let my 21st birthday go by without celebrating with my friends and hubby. So I decided to make a reservation at this asian grill at the hard rock, its called Tatu.

Its nice right? ^^

Anyways... Its time for my weekend round-up!
My weekend was LOTS of fun! On saturday we had church in the morning, then later that afternoon the whole church went to a clubhouse and had lunch together, we really had a blast!

{At church with the cutest baby on the block, Luna!}

This is vicky! I call her gorda {fatty in portuguese. hehe}

I had 2 birthday parties to go to. Saturday night we went to Pf Chang, to celebrate Rodrigo {my cousin's hubby} and Felipe {my friends boyfriend} birthday! We had a great time talking to friends and family. Right in front of the restaurant they have a HUGE horse and of course, the husband HAD to climb the horse

{Bad phone picture, sorry!}

After that, we went to my friends house to have a WII DANCE competition! and guess who won?? the hubby! I was so tired, I didnt participate on this competition it was 2am and they were dancing!! I was the one falling asleep on the couch! heheh

On sunday we went to our friend Evenlyn's house to celebrate her son Leo's birthday and her hubby Rob. She served some amazing sandwiches, which I couldnt get enough of! It had pesto, with fresh mozzarella, and tomatoes. SOOOO good!!!

I'm already looking forward to next weekend. My cake decorating class will start on Sunday morning, and on the afternoon, I have my friends baby shower! Cant wait!!

How was your weekend??

Happy Monday lovelies!!

Horayy for the weekend

Hello lovelies!!

I've been digging the internet a lot, or surfing, hopping {whatever you want to call it} and that way I have found many of my favorite blogs and websites!! So before I say "goodbye until Monday", I will leave you guys with just a few of my favorite websites!

I have so many amazing culinary blogs that I love, but I feel like this one doesnt get nearly as much credit as it should!  Dulce Delight.I have never seen someone make food seem so easy and fun to make! All her videos are made in her own Kitchen, and all by her! her kitchen is simple and gorgeous, the video is so well lighted and of high quality, and her recipes are so delicious!! Not to mention she's Brazilian. If you want to make something delicious, go check out her blog for some inspiration! {let me know how you like it}

Dulce Delight
Match book magazine, is an awesome, girly online magazine! It talks about everything a girl loves to read about. From makeup to hair, from culinary to nails, tips and tutorials, fashion and relationship. Just check it out for yourself!

Many of you have already heard of The beauty department. This blog is hosted by Lauren Conrad, and her hair stylest, and makeup artists. They update it daily with tips on makeup, hair, skin, and lots of tutorials!

I dont know how I have gone so long without following this blog. My friend Delfina recently introduced me to I heart organizing. This is an ispiring blog, that talks about pretty homes, and organization! Everytime I read over her blog, I just want to clean! I'm just happy I found her blog before I move! I'll be using a lot of her tips!

IHeart Organizing

There is so many more websites that I love! This list could go on, and on. But these are the ones I've been going to most lately. I really hope you have a chance to check them out. Come back here and let me know how you like it!

Before I go, let me just show you the Breakfast/Dining room table that I'm selling. My mother in law gave it to me. It's very pretty, but it doesnt go with my apartment. I know most of you live super far from me, but maybe you know someone who needs a new table?

Have a blessed weekend Lovelies!

Friday's fancies- Another lovely friday

Helllooooo Weekend! It's so close, I can taste it! {heheh}
Today I'm linking up with Long distance loving for Friday's Fancies!

I'm worth much more then you can afford!

So the Hubs helped me choose this outfit. I put a few dresses up and without hesitation he chose this blue one. Very chic, and classy! {His words, not mines}
I just love that coco mademoiselle, Its one of my all time favorites! I wear them when I got out at night :)

For the first time ever I used the nail strips! I'm not sure if I love the print I chose. It's a little too much for my taste, but for some reason I thought it would be fun to get it. But its way easier then nail polish. I'll definitely be buying it more often, next time something more subtle!

Have a blessed Friday lovelies!

Feeling down? Cheer up!

Hello lovelies!! Today I'm linking up with one of my all time favorite blog friend Meg, from henning love. Today is the first day of  Thankful Thursday

*Today I am thankful for having a very confortable bed to sleep in every night, and I dont have to worry about getting cold in the middle of the night, and not having a roof over my head!

What are you thankful for? Go link up with meg!

I am once again going to talk about interior design. I'm feeling a little down today, because I'm so confused about my Christmas and New years plan. I'm not sure if I'll be able to spend it with my mom, dad and sisters anymore. And the main problem is MONEY! It really pisses me off when I see so many people on the streets without a place to live, or suffering of hunger, or a girl who needs to buy plane tickets to see her family, and doesnt have 1,700 to spend on that. Mean while Kim Kardashian {who really does no work to deserve all the money she has} spends 20 MILLION DOLLARS ON A WEDDING!!!

So... Talking about Interior design, and looking at all these beautiful homes that I cant afford, ironically chears me up!

Love that I found this! I'm so indecisive when it comes to wall colors!

Is this too much? I like the idea of it, but I think it could be a little smaller, and it would probably look great on a dining room!

Can this be any cozier???

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, THIS!! I'm definitely doing it to my guest bathroom when I have my own place!

I feel better already!!
Have a wonderful Thursday Lovelies!

Blah, Blah, Blah...

Hello Lovelies!! It's already Wednesday! Are the weeks going by faster and faster or is it just me? I feel like I just linked up with Oh, how pinteresting. No? Okay.

So I was thinking... {my husband always says uh-oh when I say this. hehehe} It's so funny how your life changes once you start a blog, I'm serious, at least mines did. Everywhere I go, or everything I do, I think of you guys. Like yesterday I went to look at a apartment {were moving in the end of September} and the apartment was HORRIBLE! like you wouldnt believe your eyes horrible, I wanted to take some pictures so bad just to show you, but I was embarrassed. And how about when you wake up in the middle of the night to pee, and all of a sudden you have a good idea for a post? Thats a little weird right?

If you look back at when I started blogging I was doing something completely different then what I do now. Before, everything was very organized. I would start off saying a bible scripture, then I would talk about the book I'm currently reading with my husband {love dare, really good book} then I would talk about my daily founds.

I realized that it was a little too much, and a little boring. Cause like it or not, were kind of entertainers, if your stuff is boring, no one will read it. Lucky for us or at least for me, I love writing about fashion, beauty, food and sometimes I like to just do what I'm doing now... Babble away {sorry!}

I just couldnt sleep that well last night, the hubby is sick, and I kept getting up to make him medicine. Yes, you heard me I said 'make medicine' my family, well mostly both of my grandmas, are a really big fan of home made remedies. Here are couple that really does work.

Sore throat: In a little cup mix, lemon&honey together. Take 2 spoon full every 2 hours. {I did this last night for the hubby, and he woke up feeling better}
Or you can get a tshirt and wet it with hot water, then wet it with some rubbing alcohol, remove the access water from the shirt and leave it very moist. Wrap it around the neck and cover it with a scarf. {Belive it or not, after a few hours your sore throat will go away}

Bruised or swollen: The hubby was riding bike, and he fell on his knee. It got so swollen he could barely walk. So we took a lot of salt and soaked it with vinegar, put it on his knee and wrapped it with a scarf. {it smells really bad}
It sounds weird, yes! But it works!

Enough of me babbling away over here. Lets link up with The vintage apple for Oh, how pinteresting Wednesday.

I L.O.V.E baking, and making pretty things! For some wild reason, I thought about making gourmet cupcakes to sell. But thats not really a reality for me, because it doesnt stop there. I would want to open a very chic and elegant bakery in NYC and the hottest places in the U.S... Thats just a silly dream of mine.
But todays pins will be all about FOOD!!

google

"Ruffled wedding cake. Amazing!!"
This would definitely be in my bakery!

This looks so simple, I can totally make it!
