I love hopping over different blogs and leaving comments, and I notice that all of my wonderful blog friends reply to my comments, everytime I check my email, I see that my comments have been responded.
I read all of the comments I receive and I appreciate and love every single one of them, but I have NO IDEA how to reply back! so my bloggie friends, I ask you to please teach me! I would love to reply to your comments and have a closer relationship to each and everyone of you.
So... HELP!! thank you lovelies :)
are your comments emailed to you? if so, you can then click reply in the actual email. from there click on their name and make sure it's an email address. if not, it will say no reply or something like that. i just figured this one out myself!
ReplyDeleteIf you switch your comment feeder to Disquis, you'll have a much easier time with comments. Disquis is a widget that easily syncs with most blog hosting sites (blogger, wordpress, etc) and allows you to simply click a reply button on the comment itself. I just learned this the other day and its made commenting and replying so easy!
ReplyDeleteGood luck and thank you for your lovely comment on my blog.

like the first comment, if you get your comments emailed to you, just simply reply from your email!
ReplyDeleteAh yes, replying through email is the easiest way :)
ReplyDeleteHave it set where your comments are e-mailed to you then just hit reply:)
ReplyDeleteI had this question too! I'm glad you asked it so now I can respond to my comments too!

ReplyDeleteI've always just replied to the email with the comment and it's always worked! Good luck!
ReplyDelete(I copied my signature from other blog so there was a wrong name there, so here's my comment again:)
ReplyDeleteI've always obviously done it the harder way :D I go to the site where I have gotten my reply, whether is on my own blog or the other ones :)
As far as the replying itself goes - most of the time I don't know what to say back after the first time.. I mean when I comment something and I get a reply to it; my brain says ok, nice that she responded.. then just *blank* :D

By the way, nice that you update about the books that you're reading! It's always nice to notice something new and interesting to me, maybe something that I wouldn't normally even know existing ! ^^
ReplyDeleteand many thanks for your recent comment Camylla,

Lindsay at Delighted Momma always replied to me in my email inbox and I asked her how she did it, so I had to learn too.
ReplyDeleteI set up an email just for my blog when I opened my blogger account. It's my gmail that I send replies to you from. I chose the option on blogger to have my comments emailed to me there, rather than checking for comments directly through blogger.
Once you get a new comment in your email inbox, just hit reply. Most of the time, though, people haven't connected their email address to their blog profile, so you get a "no reply blogger" email address where an actual address should go. So if anyone else reads this, check your blog preferences and make sure your email address is visible if you want people to be able to contact you or reply to you.
Sometimes, if you're really wanting to reply to someone and know that they'll get it, you can go onto their blog and copy their email address from their 'contact' or 'about me' page.
Hope that all made sense. Good luck!
Great post, I never knew how to do this either! Great ideas, ladies!
ReplyDeleteOk i'm not sure where to check if my email is linked properly if someone wants to reply to my comment....looking, looking....help??
ReplyDeleteAs long as your comments are emailed to you, you can reply back just like you are with any emails. A lot of people don't have their emails linked to their account though, so I can't reply to some of them :(
ReplyDeleteYep to what everyone else said :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you posted this! I was wondering the same thing myself! Now I know :)
ReplyDeletewelcome to the wonderful world of blogging!
ReplyDeleteAh I was just researching this too! :) I'm contemplating switching to disquis... has anyone else used it?
