Color me pretty

Hey guys!
I hope you all had a happy Thursday.
Work was good, i had a great work out session, then went out to eat dinner with the hubby at Olive Gardens.
We had such a nice waiter serving our table. In the end of our meal my husband went to ask him a question and we stayed about 1 hour talking to him.

He told us his life story, how he lived in NY for 15 years, made a lot of money (he was a network engineer) owned a Porsche. One day he decided to move down to FL to retire. He saw that the housing business was good so he invested ALL his money on houses. GUESS WHAT? he lost it ALL! he had 3 business partners and they all killed themselves. He has said his friends didn't want to start over like he was doing. So we told him how strong he is for going through all this and working 2 jobs now. He told us it's also because of his religion. We asked him what religion he was from and he said "Seventh Day Adventist." We were so surprised, were also seventh day Adventist.

We live in such a small world, we usually don't sit and talk to our waiters after dinner but for some reason this time we did. Who knows maybe he needed to open up to someone.

If we stopped being so self centered and took some time to get to know other people we would realize how many people out there needs some one to talk to open up to, or a shoulder to cry on.

I just thought this was an interesting story to share :)

ANYWAYS.. I paint my nails different colors every week. I honestly cant go one week without changing my nail color, and if for some reason i stay a few days without nail polish, my nails look yellowish and they kinda hurt (i'm sure that's a bad thing). People are getting creative with this. Check it out :)

  3. Holy wow! That's one heck of a story! I always find it so amazing that we immediately come to conclusions about people without knowing one iota about their life. I saw a quote the other day that was something along the lines of, It isn't where you come from, but where you're going that counts. I think we need reminders like this story everyone once in awhile to stop and appreciate where we are, what we have, and how a kind word can change someone's day.

And on a not so philosophical note (ha ha) those sparkly nails are so dang cute. I've seen ladybugs too that are adorable. I bite my nails to the nubs, so I can't have fun nails like these. :o(
